Our puzzle aisles are overflowing with options from our favorite brands: Ravensburger, Galison, White Mountain, Springbok, Cobble Hill, Eeboo and more!
We have tons of Woobles crochet kits, paint by numbers, diamond art and more relaxing, creative activities in our craft aisles.
Our ever-growing selection of book nooks, DIY miniature kits, Wooden 3D puzzles and wooden mechanical models are the perfect winter activity!
And of course Lego aisles are full of kits for kids & adults of all ages! Our model aisles are restocked weekly & it’s always a good time to start your train collection, or get your first remote control Traxxas vehicle (or add to your fleet)!
There’s truly something for everyone to enjoy here at Amato’s Middletown, especially during the cozier months. And what better way to kickoff the new year than with a new hobby!

P.s. Just realized that it’s the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit, not a Tie Fighter.. oopsies! To be fair they have similar shapes… and in our post-Toy Fair hyper-but-exhausted state, I’m honestly surprised we named all the other characters accurately 🤣 We promise we know our fair share of Star Wars trivia—we’ve been listening to the soundtrack alllll day!

Our Front Counter Crew LOVES chatting with everyone as they check out! It’s so wonderful to see what you’ve picked out & why—plus we get to hear SO many fun stories.. soooo we thought we’d share a few from this weekend!
🐶 A delightful family visiting from Virginia couldn’t leave without this fabulous giant Muttsy by Gund—because she looks just like their Goldendoodle Zuzu!! Who is going to be very jealous after their visit with Gracie… and is ALSO named after the daughter from It’s A Wonderful Life, just like Diane’s Golden Retreiver named Zuzu!! Great minds think alike!!
🛍️ This squishy haul was SO AH-MAZINGGG, it required two photos to capture allllll the squishy goodness that this fam scooped up to be fun favors to help their kiddos get through the craziness of “Maycember”!
💌 A wonderful mom was on a mission for the *perfect* 9 party favors for an upcoming Birthday Sleepover extravaganzaaa and these 9 adorableeee pups by Douglas are surely going to be a hit!
🌻 Mother’s Day shopping was in fullll swing this weekend and Lifelines & Lego Flowers are proving to be a dynamic gifting duo!! I don’t think we sold one without the other all weekend long sooo if you need a gift idea, here it is!
🧩 Talk about Puzzle Haul GOALSSS! We had a wonderful time chatting with our fabulous new friend @the_puzzled_reader while she enjoyed her first (of many, bc we are the Puzzle Capital of CT lol) visits with us! We can’t wait to see what puzzles she picks out next time… & to find out what she thinks of Lifelines!
👑 Princess dresses are alwayssss a good idea—especially during special Daddy-Daughter shopping trips! They were on a Mother’s Day Mission but of course they couldn’t leave without a Sunshine Princess dress!
